COMEDK is organising Special round of counselling for medical seats of Shridevi Institute of Medical Sciences and Sambhram Institute of Medical Sciences will be held at 10 AM of 30th Sept 2016.
Notification for conduct of special round of counselling
Sub: COMEDK 2016 – conduct of special round of counseling for Medical seats on 30th September 2016 – reg.
COMEDK concluded its first and second round of counseling and the last date prescribed to candidates who had availed seats for reporting to the colleges was 26th September 2016 keeping in view the following:
1) Consensual Agreement entered into between the Government and the Colleges Association
2) MCI’s Notification dtd. 05.08.2016 published in Extraordinary Gazette on 08.08.2016.
3) DME’s Circular No. DME/MCS/22/2016-17 dtd. 26.08.2016
4) Notification No. HFW 213 RGU 2016 dtd. 27.08.2016 issued by Government of Karnataka.
However, subsequent to the conclusion of two rounds of counseling, the Government through the Directorate of Medical Education in its letter No. DME/MCS/11/2016-17 dtd. 27.09.2016 and 28.09.2016 has directed COMEDK to conduct a special round of counseling for Medical seats for which the permission has been granted by statutory authorities. In this regard, COMEDK has proposed to conduct the special round of counseling on 30th September 2016 at 10.00 AM at N.M.K.R.V College for Women Mangala Mantapa, Jayanagar.
Colleges for which counseling is scheduled are:
1. Shridevi Institute of Medical Sciences, Tumkur – 60 seats.
2. Sambhram Institute of Medical Sciences, K.G.F – 60 seats.
Since this allocation of seats in this special round of counseling is subject to clearance by the statutory authorities and in order not to disturb or displace the students who have already been admitted to their respective colleges, it is decided that only the candidates who have the COMEDK rank and have not selected any seats in the earlier rounds of COMEDK are only eligible to participate in this round of counseling.
All candidates have to bring all original documents and DD as mentioned in the counselling process document dated 01.09.2016 in order to be allowed inside counselling venue. Since tomorrow is the Bank holiday, the candidates are also advised to get the demand draft for Rs 5,75,000/- drawn on a nationalised bank in favour of COMEDK (APP No. XXXXXXXX) today itself.
Individual SMS to the registered mobile number of all candidates and email communication are being sent separately.
