Maharashtra state Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) is inviting applications and preference forms from students across the country. DMER has been directed by the Bombay High Court on 7th Sept 2016 Wednesday to invite applications and college preferences from the candidates. Candidates from all over country who have appeared in NEET 2016 can apply for it private unaided medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra.

The order came on a petition filed by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Mandir, a trust which runs a dental college in Nashik and which had challenged the admission clause which compels only state students to apply to the 85% seats in private institutes in Maharashtra State.
Registrations will be held between 8 September to 11 September on the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) website.

The DMER notification has indicated that the merit list prepared for such All India Category aspirants (if any), shall subject to further court orders of writ petitions in the Bombay High Court.
The Bombay High Court on 7th September 2016 Wednesday ordered the state government to prepare an additional merit list for MBBS and BDS courses in unaided private colleges based on all-India applications to be called online. The additional list will be as per the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) scores.
The state has already prepared a selection list based on state rules, which do not allow students from other states to apply for admission to these courses.
Admissions in Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges will be on the basis of performance in NEET and the fact that students should have also passed HSC from Maharashtra. The court asked the government to explain in clear terms what they meant by domicile. “For the purpose of admission, what is the criterion? Parents and students should not be in a dilemma about domicile. You should clearly lay down the guidelines and procedures,” said the Chief Justice.

Tution Fee
Fee structure of MBBS/BDS course for 2016-2017 session is not decided yet. Shishan Shulka Samiti will decide within some days. We will update you as soon as we got any authentic information.
Previous year(2015-2016) tuition fee for MBBS course was 3,00,926/- to 6,72,222/-.
