Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals for All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT)-2016 to be conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for filling up 15% of All India Quota Seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir)
Date of Examination: 14th May 2016 (Saturday)
Total No. of Seats in AIPVT– 628seats (Approx) (inclusive of all seats in Haryana, Rajasthan and Manipur)
AIPVT Participating States
1)From this year, RPVT (Rajasthan Pre Veterinary Exam) will not be conducted and seats in the veterinary colleges will be filled through AIPVT.
2)Haryana and Manipur states will fill 100% B.V.Sc. & A.H. course seats based on AIPVT Merit list

Eligibility Criteria-
1)The candidates should be Indian Nationals (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir)
2The Interested candidates should have completed 17 years of age and the age should not be exceeded than 25 years as on 31st December of 2016
The canddiates belonging to reserve category will get age relaxation of 5 years i.e. for the SC/ST/OBC the maximum age limit will be 30 years
3)Applicants should have passed the class 12th with minimum of 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English. 40% for candidates belonging to reserve category i.e. SC/ST/OBC
Exam Pattern –
Exam paper contains 180 multiple choice questions in total with 45 questions in Chemistry section, 45 in Physics and 90 questions will come from Biology.
Each question carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks. For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted.
