JEE Advanced 2016 Result Declared
Jaipur’s Aman Bansal has topped JEE Advanced 2016. Bhavesh Dhingra of Yamuna Nagar secure the second rank while Kunal Goyal from Jaipur grabed third.
JEE Advanced result announced on Sunday morning as per the schedule. The JEE Advanced 2016 exam was organised by IIT Guwahati in collaboration with the Joint Admission Board this year. IIT JEE Advanced exam 2016 was conducted on May 22.

AIR 1st Rank – Aman Bansal from Jaipur
AIR 2nd Rank – Bhavesh Dhingra from Yamuna Nagar
AIR 3rd Rank – Kunal Goyal from Jaipur
AIR 133rd Rank – Riya Singh from Kota is the topper among girls.
(Last year, Satwat Jagwani from Bansal Classes Kota topped JEE Advanced.)
Aman Bansal has also qualified for
1)Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) examination,
2)Second stage of chemistry Olympiad
3) First level of physics and astronomy Olympiads.
JEE Advanced 2016 statistics
1) 1,98,228 candidates had cleared the JEE (Main) examination to appear in JEE Advanced 2016.
2) 1,55,948 aspirants registered for JEE Advanced 2016.
3) 1,47,678 appeared for JEE Advanced 2016.
4) 36,566 qualified JEE Advanced 2016(31,996 were male while 4,570 were female)
Around 12 lakh students appeared for JEE Main 2016 out of these candidates 1,98,228 have qualified for the JEE Advanced (19,820 have qualified for the JEE Advanced Online while 1,78,408 candidates have qualified for the JEE Advanced offline test)
Students who cleared the JEE Mains(first phase of the two-phase IIT-Joint Entrance Examinations) were eligible to sit for JEE Advanced. Those who cleared JEE Advanced (final phase of the exam) will now be offered a place in one of the IIT’s.

Total Number of seats in IIT’s-
Around 10,575 seats across 23 IITs (including ISM, Dhanbad) this time, around 569 more than last year.
This year, with the addition of 4 new IITs(IIT Bhilai (Chhattisgarh), IIT Goa, IIT Jammu and IIT Karnataka), the total number of seats have gone up to 10,575 from last year’s 10,006
Apart from IITs, admissions on the basis of JEE Advanced granted to other institutes like Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram.
Maximum aggregate marks JEE Advanced: 372 (186 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
Maximum marks in Physics : 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
Maximum marks in Chemistry : 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
Maximum marks in Mathematics: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
