Details of today’s Hearing

MCI U-turn on NEET today, when the matter came before the bench MCI stated that State govts can be exempted from NEET this year. However, the MCI requested the court to debar private institutions from conducting medical entrance on their own.
As the MCI submitted its suggestions, the Centre sought more time to take its decision on NEET. Hence, the court directed that the matter would be heard on Monday.

Making it clear that there would be no exemption for private medical colleges from NEET, an apex court bench headed by Justice Anil R. Dave indicated that it may permit CET for government medial college admissions after Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar told the court that state education ministers were slated to meet central authorities to resolve the issue.

Adjourning the hearing till 2 p.m. on 9th May, Monday when the Centre will apprise the court of the outcome of the meeting of the ministers on the issue, the court also sought a response if candidates who had appeared in the first phase of NEET on May 1 could be allowed to reappear in the NEET second phase on July 24.

Important Comments on NEET –

Justice Dave said categorically at the end of the half-hour hearing – “We have already said this.
1)There shall be NEET.
2)No private colleges or associations will be permitted to have their own exams.
3)States will be allowed to conduct their exams after we consider what the Solicitor-General has to say on it on Monday,”

          1. OK…hope S.Court comes up with some firm decision on Monday the 9th.. Without any further delay or any other excuse… Or else no more faith on Indian judiciary!
            Its already going too far…..

  2. Jo vi decision le plzzz..jaldi le nd shi le..agar possible h to students se vot le ki wo kya chte h bzz iska pure effect unke life pe padga

  3. If states will conduct their own entrance why aipmt is renamed as neet .Their should have be one entrance for neet either on 1 May or on 24july.creating so much dilemma at the last moment

  4. Just give 24 july for all candidates and cancel states exam or let states take their own entrance and cancel 24 july neet 2 phase and rename neet as aipmt .NEET means one entrance test for all candidates .cbse is not allowing 24 july for all because they are thinking only about them like how they will arrange ,double waste of money ,they are not thinking about our future .last they cbse said that their no paper leak because they were thinking about themselves not about our future

  5. If states are allowed to take their own entrance why created so much drama in the name of neet 1 and neet 2 before our exam.shame on our decision making system who just plays with the emotions and career of students

  6. Last year cbse said their was no paper leak because they were thinking about money ,rearranging center for candidates .they are doing the same this year too by not allowing all candidates to take 24 july exam, they arthinking how they will arrange center for candidates ,about money and not about our future .india is incredible i have to say where the think of a education board is so small

  7. tarik pe tarik.. tarik pe tarik…. yhi hoo rhaa hai… hope so ki monday ko shi aur last decision aaye.

  8. There is not limit of injustice….. In India….. If NEET iz common test den it should be common in all ways why they are playing the games wid students. CJI should allow all d students to sit in 24 July xam nd stop all d drama of giving dis hearing dates. We all are in confusion….. Go to d hell dis system…..

  9. agar state cet ho ri h to state cet aided private medical college ka admn bhi usi k base pr hoga ya nahi???

  10. Still in confusion!!!!
really don’t know what tu do…….
I reqst SC & MCI tu reach on final decision soon..

    1. According to supreme court order- only NEET would enable students to get admission to MBBS or BDS course. We are not sure about AIIMS wait some days.
