WBJEE Medical 2016

In compliance of the Honourable Supreme Court Order, WBJEEE has finally cancelled entrance exam for MBBS BDS course. Now admission  for MBBS and BDS courses in West Bengal state will be done on basis of NEET score. Now those students who have applied for WBJEE MBBS BDS can concentrate on for NEET Phase 2.

Important points from Supreme Court final order- 

1)Supreme Court clarifies “only NEET would enable students to get admission to MBBS or BDS course.

2)Supreme Court allows all candidates to appear in July 24 NEET phase 2 exam if they give up their candidature for May 1 NEET phase 1 exam.

3)States can not conduct their own medical entrance exams . Only NEET will be applicable now.

4)Score secured in NEET phase 2 would be considered for admission, and not NEET phase 1 (if a student appears for both NEET 1 & 2)

5)Supreme Court  says Centre, CBSE & MCI may change the date for holding NEET phase 2, panel led by ex-CJI RM Lodha will monitor NEET phase 2.

6) Existing reservation rules or rights of minorities will remain as same as earlier .
