Surprisingly CBSE has declared NEET 2016 Phase1 and Phase2 result today on 16th August 2016 .Although the NEET 2016 Phase1 and Phase2 results 2016 were scheduled to be declared by CBSE tomorrow i.e on 17th August 2016, the board has officially declared the results a day earlier.

All those candidates who appeared for the NEET Phase1 exam on 1st May and the NEET Phase2 on 24thJuly,2016 for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses can now check their results online on the official website – http://cbseresults.nic.in/neet/neet_2016.htm
Het Shah from Gujarat got first rank in NEET 2016 by scoring 685 out of 720 marks. He had also got 4th Rank in AIIMS-2016 entrance exam.
According to official CBSE notification 19,325 students have qualified in the top 15% while 4,09,477 qualified overall in the NEET 2016.
Many of the students found that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) phase 2 test was tougher than NEET phase 1 conducted on May 1.
Total number of Regd. candidates in NEET Phase1 and Phase2 is 8,02,594 out of which 7,31,223 appeared.NEET-I was conducted at 1040 centres in 52 cities all over India and abroad & NEET-II was conducted at 739 centres in 56 cities in India.
CBSE Official Press Release on NEET 2016 Result –
In compliance with the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 29.4.2016 & 9.05.2016, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG (NEET-I) and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG (NEET-II) on 1st May, 2016 & 24th July,2016 respectively.
CBSE is pleased to declare the result of both NEET-I & NEET-II as a combined result of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG, 2016. While preparing the result, the orders of Hon’ble Apex Court with regard to declaration of result have been complied with.
Further, all critical issues were placed before the Hon’ble Oversight Committee appointed by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to monitor NEET-2016 which is comprised of Justice R.M.Lodha, Former Chief Justice of India, Prof.(Dr.) S.K.Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Billery Sciences, Delhi & Shri. Vinod Rai, Former CAG, Govt of India for their information and guidance to ensure the compliance of the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In all such issues, the concurrence of Hon’ble Oversight committee was obtained. As it was done in NEET-2013, this year too, with the help of experts, difficulty level of both the question papers of NEET-I & NEET-II was ensured to be similar. The result has been prepared based on the various decisions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on NEET-2016.
