COMEDK MBBS/BDS 2016 Registration, Important Dates, Eligibility Criteria and Counselling

Good news for all those students who wants to take admission in COMEDK colleges for MBBS and BDS courses. COMEDK is going to start registration process for admission in MBBS and BDS courses from 18th August, 2016.
Admission in COMEDK will be done on basis of NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) score as per the Honourable Supreme Court’s guideline.

COMEDK MBBS and BDS 2016 information brochure available on official website. The registration process for COMEDK(Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) will begin from 18th August.

Note – All those who have applied earlier for COMEDK UGET exam , please note that the exam is cancelled and all such candidates have to register and submit their application again with the requisite fees.
Note – COMEDK eligibility criteria is changed now. Earlier Candidates who have passed class 12th before 2014 are not eligible for medical entrance exam. But now, Candidates who have passed class 12th before 2014 are also eligible for COMEDK MBBS/BDS course.

COMEDK MBBS and BDS Important Dates –

1)Start Date for Issue of Information Brochure – 10th Aug 2016
2)Start Date for making Online Application by candidates – 18th Aug 2016, 12 Noon Onwards
3)Last Date for submission of Online application with Online Payment  – 28th Aug 2016, 6:00 PM

COMEDK MBBS and BDS tuition fee 2016 –

The tuition fee structure of COMEDK MBBS and BDS courses is as follows

MBBS – Rs. 5,75,000/-Per Year
BDS    – Rs. 3,90,000/-Per Year

Note – All applications have to be submitted online ONLY and no HARD COPY of the application is to be send to COMEDK office

COMEDK MBBS and BDS Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates from all over the country can participate in the UG Medical and Dental counseling 2016. The eligibility criteria are produced as under:-
a) The candidates should have qualified in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government, the last two years of study shall consist of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.
b) All candidates must have passed these subjects (PCB) individually.General Merit candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB. SC, ST and OBC candidates must have obtained a minimum of 40% in PCB.
c) The General Merit candidates must also secure not less than 50% percentile (40 percentile in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates) in aggregate in PCB subjects in the CBSE NEET UG 2016.
d) The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December (31-12- 2016) of the year of admission to the MBBS / BDS course.
NOTE – Lower percentage of marks for SC/ST/OBC is only for eligibility purpose and there are no reservation quotas for these categories

COMEDK MBBS and BDS COUNSELLING 2016

The Counselling process is being conducted only in Bangalore and for use by COMEDK Member Institutions and other institutions that have been expressly permitted in this behalf for admission during the academic year 2016-2017.
