Supreme Court allowed to transfer 15% All India Quota seats to the respective state. On 20th September Supreme Court put a stay on the transferring of the 15% All India Quota seats to the respective state.

Official MCC Notice Regarding 15% AIQ MBBS/BDS seat Surrender
As per scheme of All India Quota UG Online Counseling for 15% MBBS/BDS seats, approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in I.A. No. 32/2012 in Civil Appeal no. 443 of 1992 filed by Sharwan Kumar vs Dte.GHS, order dated 07.06.2012, the All India Quota UG seats (MBBS/BDS) of 2015, remaining vacant due to non-joining and resignation by allotted candidates after the conclusion of 2nd round of All India counseling stand surrendered (reverted) to the respective States/Universities with immediate effect (on 23.09.2016).
The surrender (Reversion) of vacant seats (due to Non Joining , Resigned and Non Reporting) on 23/09/2016 after completion of Round 2 15% AIQ is in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India order dated 23.09.2016, in Writ Petition (C) Number 652 / 2016, filed by Subhash Kumar Vs Union of India and Ors
