Difference between All India Rank and All India Quota Rank in NEET Result

Many students were confused between their NEET All India Rank and NEET All India Quota Rank in NEET 2016 Result. In this post, we will explain you the difference All India Rank and All India Quota Rank. 

What is All India Rank (AIR) –  All India Rank (AIR) is over all AIPMT All India Rank ( Including Andhra Pradesh J&K candidates ), as given by CBSE, is based on rank among the successful candidates, of NEET UG on all India basis.

What is All India Quota Rank – This is the rank for the purpose of All India Quota seat allotment, after excluding candidates from Andhra Pradesh (AP) and J&K. As per directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court the candidates from AP and J&K are not eligible to participate for 15 % All India Quota Counseling (Please also see clause 9 of, Information Bulletin of AIPMT for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses published by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for details

Total number of Regd. candidates in NEET Phase1 and Phase2 is 8,02,594 out of which 7,31,223 appeared.NEET-I was conducted at 1040 centres in 52 cities all over India and abroad & NEET-II was conducted at 739 centres in 56 cities in India.

  6. What is meaning of state of eligibility (for 15% all india qouta ) in neet 2017 form. I have fill there jharkhand. I also hold domicile of up then will i not be able to take part in 85% quota of up state.?
