CBSE has announced NEET 2016 result on 16th August 2016 . Many students were confused and asking same question on entrance mantra’s facebook page that , what is the meaning of Qualified for neet 2016 but Not eligible for counseling under 15% AIQ seats. In this post we will explain in detail.

Eligibility Criteria for counselling under 15% AIQ Seats
Candidates declared Qualified/Eligible for All India Quota Undergraduate Seats (MBBS/BDS) only will be eligible for online allotment process for 15% All India Quota Seats, which is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, & Government of India.
According to official CBSE notification 19,325 students have qualified for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling while 4,09,477 qualified overall in the NEET 2016.

Qualifying Criteria in NEET 2016
Qualifying criteria in NEET depends on percentile score of candidate( Not on percentage) .Qualifying criteria in NEET also depends on category of candidates. If the candidate belongs to general category that qualifying criteria is 50th Percentile, please check the NEET qualifying criteria of different category in the table below.

On the basis of above question we can differentiate candidates appeared in NEET exam in 3 Types
- 1st Type – Candidates who have Qualified in neet 2016 and eligible for counseling under 15% AIQ seats.
- 2nd Type – Candidates who have Qualified in neet 2016 but Not eligible for counseling under 15% AIQ seats.
- 3rd Type – Candidates who have Not Qualified in neet 2016 and also Not eligible for counseling under 15% AIQ seats.

As I understand, MBBS admissions to private medical colleges based on NEET 2016 scores was conducted online in Chhattisgarh by CGDME.
So, how did west Bengal conduct the same? I reside in CG but woiuld like to apply in Pvt Medical Colleges in West Bengal.
