The Cabinet approved an ordinance exempting state governments .The ordinance amending the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, which governs MBBS and BDS admissions. Ordinance address states concerns over variation in CBSE and state board syllabi, and difference in the language in which NEET is held.
The sources said, “The exemption for NEET this year as per the Ordinance, is only for the State medical colleges. No such relaxation will be available to private medical colleges , Entrance Mantra’s teams wants to clear that in private medical college MBBS and BDS seats will be filled through NEET Phase 1 and 2 rank.
The NEET will be applicable for central government run and private medical colleges. AMU ,IPU and CMC Vellore will be under NEET.
