Many students were disappointed by final order of Supreme Court came on monday because they were preparing for state medical entrance exams like   UPCPMT , BCECE , JCECE , IPU, AMU , CGPMT , UPMT , WBJEE , GUJCET , KCET , KEAM , MHCET , EAMCET and JKCET. But all of sudden Supreme Court ordered that states cannot hold entrance tests for MBBS and BDS. This has come as a huge setback to all those students who were preparing for their respective state medical entrance exams.

Entrance Mantra team wants to give advise to all such students that ,it’s better to start preparation for NEET Phase 2 now. Do not waste your time in thinking that Supreme Court has done wrong with us. Most probably NEET Phase2 will be held on 24th July 2016. Important points from Supreme Court final order- 

1)Supreme Court clarifies “only NEET would enable students to get admission to MBBS or BDS course.

2)Supreme Court allows all candidates to appear in July 24 NEET phase 2 exam if they give up their candidature for May 1 NEET phase 1 exam.

3)States can not conduct their own medical entrance exams . Only NEET will be applicable now.

4)Score secured in NEET phase 2 would be considered for admission, and not NEET phase 1 (if a student appears for both NEET 1 & 2)

5)Supreme Court  says Centre, CBSE & MCI may change the date for holding NEET phase 2, panel led by ex-CJI RM Lodha will monitor NEET phase 2.

6) Existing reservation rules or rights of minorities will remain as same as earlier .

    1. Sorry we can not predict cutoff right now, Cut off depends on various condtitions like number of seats and number of students participating in counselling and many other.

  1. What about private medical colleges…will they be conducting their own exam or they will also have to take students from NEET(Phase-II) only.
